Most days in Titiana’s life revolved around parties, catching up on homework, and writing in her diary – lists, random thoughts, doodles, just to figure out who out of Kent or Oberon was her one true love, or what was up with that Bianca girl who was soooo annoying and who everyone thought was the bee’s knees.
Titiana remembers the moment she chose Oberon. Or, rather, she can pin-point when life chose for her.

Whenever he did, he kept telling Zephyretta and Oberon to stop fussing. “I’ll be fine,” he’d say. “I’ll be back dancing with you lot tomorrow.”

Except that time, he didn’t get any better. And just like that, he was gone.

They were all affected to some degree; Zephyretta, obviously, and Titiana’s mum too.

Titiana’s dad aged ten years in one day.
She didn’t notice straight away; she only saw that Oberon needed her. She swore to herself she’d be here for him.

For good or worse, Titiana pushed Kent away from her mind.
